Fellow Mac OS X beta user! I got my “copy” from Hotline / Hot-something. Used it on my G3/233 Desktop with 96 MB RAM (32 MB stick cost SGD300 a pop). I actually used the beta, 10.0 and 10.1, before the G3 gave up! When I saw the genie effect (scale was cool too), I just went bezerk~!

My Apple Display was a 17″ CRT too. 1710 or something, It was dull and beige. Had a 33.6k modem and it was slow; but we had fun! Had a ColorOne scanner too.

David Pogue was my hero. Now a NYTime journalist. I always buy Macworld magazine just to watch his podcast (haha)..

Actually I liked the Dinosaur Mac OS 8.5 commercial with catchy music.

5 years later til now, all my PCs were PCs. Until this recently when I got the iPhone (oh, and also the iPhone 1 in 2007).

Good times, good times!
