Surprise! Maxis gives 10GB upgrade for all MaxisONE plans

MaxisONE Plan

If you’re currently on a MaxisONE plan, you’re in for a sweet surprise. Maxis has just upped data quota for every MaxisONE plan by 10GB. The best thing is, say goodbye to weekday and weekend data split (except MOP 98). Data should be all-day, every day. Your wish is granted.

The upgrade covers MOP 98, MOP 128, MOP 158 and MOP 188. Let’s look at the plans one by one.

MaxisONE Plan

For MOP 98, you’ll get a data upgrade from 20GB to 30GB (15GB all-day + 15GB weekend). To enjoy 30GB all-day data, just upgrade for MYR10 per month. You’ll also enjoy unlimited calls and SMS. You’re entitled to get up to one MaxisONE Share Line at MYR48 per month per line, and you’ll also enjoy three months access to iflix.

Next up is the MOP 128. Probably the best value plan now gets 40GB of monthly data, up from 30GB. This is all-day data with also unlimited calls and SMS. With this plan, you’re entitled to get up to two MaxisONE Share Lines at MYR48 per month per line.

Moving up is the MOP 158, which offers you a whopping 50GB of data, an upgrade from 40GB. This all-day data can be shared across up to three MaxisONE Share Lines at MYR48 per line. Calls and SMS, again, is unlimited.

The top-of-the-line MOP 188, which I’m currently on, now delivers a substantial 60GB of data, up from 50GB. This plan is entitled to get up to four MaxisONE Share Lines at MYR48 per month.

Do note that each MaxisONE Share Line comes with 5GB all-day data and 5GB 4G weekend data with unlimited calls & SMS to all networks, out-of-the-box.

Consistent across plans, you’ll enjoy three months of unlimited access to iflix, and you can roam in ASEAN countries with MaxisONE World which gives you competitive roaming rates, unlimited international calls & SMS and the ability to use your local MaxisONE plan data overseas.

If you’re looking for a new device, these plans offer zero cash upfront deals on 4G smartphones with Zerolution, and also MYR1 deals.

This is a surprising move for Maxis as we approach the end of the year. The upgrade may or may not be reflected in the MyMaxis app or your current Maxis account. If not, it will likely be during your next billing cycle.
