Lenovo Yoga 920: Rebel Alliance and Galactic Empire. Which side are you on?

Lenovo Malaysia has officially launched the new YOGA 920 Special Edition, with a choice of either Rebel Alliance white and Galactic Empire black. So, where does your loyalty lie?

Making a debut at http://vernonchan.com/tag/ifa2017/IFA 2017, the latest Yoga series is now available in Malaysia and comes in a limited Star Wars edition. Pricing for the YOGA 920 Star Wars starts at MYR8,888 and will be available sometime in December. A regular Yoga 920 starts at EUR1,599.99/MYR8,128 so the Star Wars isn’t too huge a premium, after all.

According to Lenovo Malaysia, the new 2-in-1 will be available just in time before the latest Star Wars: The Last Jedi film. The YOGA 920 can be purchased in two different shades of colors. So, if you’re one of the good guys, you can get yourself the Rebel Alliance (white) while those of you who prefer the dark side can opt for the Galactic Empire (black).

If you’re on the fence, well, then get both.

Now onto styling. The Yoga 920 comes with a slim, yet sophisticated design flanked by the Gorilla Glass, while rocking a 13.9-inch IPS UHD display with touchscreen capabilities. The ultra-flexible 2-in-1 only weighs1.4kg meaning you won’t break your back while carrying it.

Now for the hardware bits. The Yoga 920 features the 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and comes with 16GB of DDR4 memory and 512GB of PCie storage. The system sports a wide-field microphone array, meaning you can interact with Microsoft Cortana from up to four meters.

Also worth noting is the fact that Cortana can even respond to your voice even while the 2-in-1 is in sleep mode. When it comes to sound quality and audio, the 2-in-1 comes equipped with JBL Speakers & Dolby Atmos headphone technology.

For plugins, there are dual USB Type-C (Thunderbolt 3) ports as well as a standard USB 3.0 port for Always-On charging. Lenovo also claimed that battery life is rated at 15.5 hours when in 1080p mode.

Of course, since the 2-in-1 comes with a 4K display, battery life when utilizing the 4K panel is lowered to 10.8 hours. As for additional accessories, you can add on a Lenovo Active Pen 2 for on-screen writing and sketching, a Lenovo 500 2.0 Bluetooth speaker and of not forgetting, the Yoga mouse.
