It’s time to level up your gaming rig with Radeon RX Vega GPUs. AMD has announced that their next generation cards are available at outlets around the world.
With the new Vega architecture powering its new generation graphics cards, AMD is looking to wrestle the throne back from NVIDIA, who have impressed with its GeForce GTX 10 series portfolio.
The ground-breaking Radeon RX Vega 64 air-cooled cards are available for sale today, while the Radeon RX Vega 56, the most affordable Vega-powered cards, are expected on 28 August 2017.
AMD claims that the new Radeon RX Vega cards are the most advanced consumer GPUs in the world. Running on the Vega architecture previously reserved for high-end graphics products, the new cards integrate pioneering graphics technology in High Bandwidth Cache with 8GB of HBM2 memory. The new feature breaks through traditional GPU memory limitations.
Other cutting-edge capabilities include Rapid Packed Math, High Bandwidth Cache Controller and new Geometry and Pixel Engines. These enable the cards to better harness low-level APIs and fly through DirectX 12 and Vulkan games.
The new cards deliver higher frame rates and image quality settings for even more immersive gaming.
Performance aside, the Radeon RX Vega cards look great too, boasting premium design with high-grade materials, customisable GPU tach meter and iconic LED illumination.
AMD believes that the essential trichotomy of gaming is hardware + software + displays. Hence, the cards support Radeon FreeSync for smooth, vibrant HDR gaming couple with advanced Radeon Software.
FreeSync when used with FreeSync displays allow for high fidelity gaming at ultrawide, 1440p and 4K resolutions with minimal tearing, latency and stutter.
VR being something talked about today, is taking care of by AMD LiquidVR technology.

Pricing and availability
At the official launch at Siggraph in July, the Radeon RX Vega lineup consisted of four variations including the RX Vega 64, RX Vega 64 Limited Edition, RX Vega 64 Liquid Cooled Edition and RX Vega 56.
The reference Radeon RX Vega 64 is priced at USD499/MYR2,144, while the affordable RX Vega 56 tops at USD399/MYR1,715. There is no indicative Malaysian pricing although according to a post on Lowyat.net, two local retailers—DotaTech and Hypernex are offering pre-orders at a tentative price of MYR3,500.
It is also unclear if Malaysia will offer Radeon Packs. A Radeon Pack is an exclusive bundle of a Radeon RX Vega GPU with two free games (Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and Prey, for rest of the world markets; or Sniper Elite 4 and Prey for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and Israel).
