Online on-demand entertainment is fast becoming a norm nowadays, with services like Netflix, iflix, Spotify being popular consumer choices. The eventual losers are the terrestrial and satellite/cable TV players, as consumers shift to mobile and internet platforms.

It’s not all grim for conventional players of course. Like they say, if you can’t beat them, join them. Satellite TV players like Astro know this well. Back in 2013, Astro launched its mobile app – Astro On-The-Go, enabling consumers to catch up with Astro content without an Astro decoder, whenever, wherever.

NJOI Now

And now, it’s taking a further step – with NJOI Now, designed to meet the digital lifestyles of consumers today.

NJOI Now is the only mobile app in Malaysia to provide on-demand content, box sets and signature titles from Astro Prima, Astro Maya HD, Astro Oasis, Astro AEC, Astro Vaanavil, Astro Arena, Astro Awani; and exam tutorials on Astro Tutor TV.

This free service will give you access to over 2,200 titles of movie and drama box sets, in addition to live sports and news. You can even download and watch tutorials offline, or shop via Go Shop.

Sports fans are going to love NJOI Now, too. The upcoming SEA Games 2017 will be free. And Premier League football fans will be absolutely chuffed that all EPL games on Astro Supersport1 is free from 11-31 May.

Astro says that there’s a built-in intelligent recommendation engine that pushes relevant content to users.

For those who want even more content, can opt for NJOI Now’s prepaid options. This covers Astro WARNA, Astro RIA, Astro Wah Lai Toi, Hua Hee Dai, latest movies on Astro First and Astro Best, as we as from the VOD library.

NJOI Now is available to all Malaysians, and is supported on multiple devices. Each signed user can use the service with up to two devices.
