LG and world-renowned design Tokujin Yoshioka impressed judges to grab the top prize at Milano Design Week 2017. The collaborative art installation entitled TOKUJIN YOSHIOKA x LG: S.F_Senses of the Future was praised by Milan Design Week’s judging panel for its “ability to synthesize the conceptual, technology, narrative and emotional aspects in one single project.”

The art installation combines LG’s cutting-edge display technology with Tokujin’s groundbreaking experimental designs. It illustrates humanity’s relationship with the natural world, and in line with LG’s human-centric design philosophy.

One part of the installation conveys the story of hope for the future through a commonplace object in our lives – the S.F chair. Seventeen S.F chairs are artfully ensconced with LG’s advanced OLED displays.

The next part is called Wall of the Sun – a 16×5-metre tall structure that comprises almost 30,000 individual OLED light modules. The gently undulating wall flashes rays of light to simulate the comfort and warmth of a bright, sunny day.

The large-scale installation was exhibited from 4-9 April at Superstudio Piu in Milan.
