Western Digital Corporation has introduced the updated SanDisk SSD Plus–offering read speeds of up to 535MB/s and delivering up to 20X the performance of conventional drives.
The next generation SSD Plus is ideal if you’re looking to boost performance on your existing notebook, or desktop, at a fraction of the price of a new system. This range sits below the Ultra II and pro-level Extreme PRO.
SSDs offers much better performance than conventional hard drives, improving boot-up and shutdown times, application response, data transfer and overall system response.
SSD Plus delivers up to 20X the performance of a typical notebook hard drive. It delivers read speeds of up to 535MB/s and write speeds of up to 445MB/s.
Available in 120GB, 240GB and 480GB models, SSD Plus features TLC NAND flash memory and SLC caching to maximum read and write speeds as well as burst performance. SSD Plus uses a SATA Rev 3.0 (6GB/s) interface.
It offers lower power consumption and less noise while offering superior performance over traditional hard drives. SanDisk SSDs are designed and tested to provide superior shock and vibration resistance.
SanDisk SSD Plus also includes downloadable SSD diagnostic software–the SSD Dashboard. With SSD Dashboard you can monitor performance and health of your SSD, schedule maintenance, receive notifications for firmware updates and optimize system performance.
