The all-new Ford Mustang is set to scorch the cool Penang streets from 15-24 July 2016. This marks the first time the American icon is showcased in the northern region.
Penangites will get the chance to see the all-new Mustang with 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine, when it’s displayed at the Sime Darby Auto Connexion Juru Showroom in Penang.
Capable of unleashing 312bhp and massive 423Nm of torque, the EcoBoost engine delivers some heart-stopping performance despite its small capacity.
Ford brought its menacing muscle car officially to Malaysian shores last month, with two variants–Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost and top-of-the-line 5.0L V8 Mustang GT.
Both versions include a ZF-based 6R80 six-speed SelectShift auto tranny, with paddle shifters.
Standard issue includes HID headlamps, LED tail lights, daylight-running lights (DRL), rear diffuser, keyless entry, amongst others.
It’s not all about speed and power, as the new Mustang offers world-class handling, safety and connectivity. It comes with an eight airbag configuration with front, side, curtain and knee airbags.
In-cabin, it gets Ebony Leather interior trim and aluminum dash paneling as well as the award-winning Ford SYNC 2 in-car connectivity system.
The Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost retails at MYR488,888 (OTR w/o insurance), while the 5.0L V8 Mustang GT retails at MYR598,888 (OTR w/o insurance).
