redONE Frost & Sullivan award

redONE Network Sdn Bhd (“redONE”), the country’s only postpaid MVNO has been named MVNO Service Provider of the Year at the 2015 Frost & Sullivan Malaysia Excellence Awards.

The annual awards recognise companies for their outstanding achievements and superior performance. The award marks the second consecutive win for redONE, since its rebranding exercise in January 2013.

Farid Yunus, Chief Executive Officer of redONE said upon accepting the award, “We are extremely pleased to win this award the second year in a row. This award is dedicated to our 200 plus employees, 3,000 plus agents and 600,000 plus customers, all of whom have shown their trust and belief in redONE.”

Celcom Axiata is the network service provider for redONE, and the MVNO expects to pass the 1 million subscriber mark by October this year.

The selection and award criteria was based on several parameters including subscriber and revenue growth, market share, ARPU (average revenue per user) and for unique marketing and channel strategy.

According the Frost & Sullivan, redONE is the only MVNO in the country that offers postpaid plans and the lowest postpaid commitment plan in Malaysia. And the performance shown in key business metrics as well as it being one of the fastest growing players in the category secured the award.

redONE added around 370,000 subscribers in 2014, a three fold increase y-o-y, and its revenues grew by more than 450%.
