This may be an all-defining statement. Malaysia IS food. As you may know, U Mobile is the official mobile operator for this year’s Malaysia International Gourmet Festival (MIGF) 2013. The young telco is committed to connecting people and lives, and what better way to achieve that than by supporting the vibrant gastronomical and F&B scene in Malaysia.

While you may wonder how a telco could have any particular relevance to the food scene, you only have to observe how modern culture has changed especially when it comes to food and dining.

It isn’t unusual anymore to find people taking out their smartphones and cameras and snapping shots of their meals and instantly sharing them on social networking platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and more.

Then you will realise how great a relevance technology and connectivity is to the aforementioned culture, which is ultimately, connecting people through their love of food.

Sponsoring MIGF 2013 makes perfect sense for U Mobile, a first step to greater brand association and deeper engagement. And in essence, fostering greater harmony through Malaysians’ inherent passion for food.

MIGF 2013 is sadly coming to an end on 31 October 2013, having run for an exciting month featuring chefs from notable restaurants in Malaysia. The annual festival’s principal aim is to bring gastronomical and fine-dining experiences closer to consumers.
