LG Electronics (“LG”) recently showcased its new 55- and 65-inch Ultra HD TVs in Malaysia, expanding its already impressive next generation TV line-up.

The new models (LA9700 series) join the groundbreaking 84-inch model in delivering the same sense of audio visual immersion with its stunning sharp picture quality and exceptional colour contrast. The models also feature powerful audio and sleek, breathtaking design.

LG’s Tru-Ultra HD engine delivers an outstanding 8.3 million pixels per frame, four times the resolution of Full HD. Tru-Ultra HD uses LG’s proprietary Super Resolution algorithm – maximising image clarity, improving sharpness and eliminating blurring caused by the upscaling process.

The new Ultra HD TVs utilises Nano Full LED backlighting, resulting in greatly enhanced illumination control, assuring outstanding contrast and consistent brightness across the screen.

The new TVs also incorporate In-Plane Switching (IPS) display panels which offer better colour expression and a wide 178-degree viewing angle.

Like the 84-inch model, the new duo uses Film-type Patterned Retarder (FPR) 3D technology that provides a crosstalk-free 3D viewing experience, enabling the user to wear comfortable, lightweight 3D glasses.

Both models feature 4.1 channel, 50W sound system that includes a Sliding Speaker. The front-facing speakers are complemented by a powerful subwoofer that is located behind the screen.

LG’s famed Smart TV platform provides a rich selection of apps and content sourced from all over the globe. The Magic Remote provides intuitive language recognition, point, wheel, and gesture control options. The Smart TV platform also now incorporates a handy service called Now On, which recommends content based on a user’s viewing habits.

The dynamic duo feature wireless connectivity options like WiDi and Miracast for convenient screen mirroring, and also LG’s NFC-based Tag On for one-touch device pairing.
