ASUS recently released an updated UEFI BIOS update for its motherboards based on Intel H87 and B85 chipsets that enables overclocking features for 4th generation Intel Core processors. Previously, only Intel Z87 chipset-based motherboards could enjoy over clocking features of the new Haswell ‘K Series’ processors.

The BIOS update is a free download for the H871-Plus, HJ87M-E and B85M-G motherboards, available in Malaysia. Once installed, the update enables multiplier-based overclocking in a simple step for unlocked Intel K Series processors. With a ‘Last Modified’ log, it’s easy to determine when and how a setting was changed, and custom settings can be saved to a favourites list for rapid switching for different applications.

All ASUS motherboards based on Intel 8 Series chipsets feature superior reliability and durability with its 5X Protection technology. DIGI+ VRM voltage regulation ensures precise digital control over power delivery, ensuring reduced energy consumption and enhanced stability.
