Muslim Pro, a made-in-Singapore Islamic mobile application, aims to help Muslims across the globe to stay committed to their beliefs despite their hectic lifestyles. The comprehensive Islamic mobile application and companion website provides accurate prayer times based on user’s location, worldwide Qibla directions, integration with Foursquare to find halal restaurants or mosques; and is also a convenient way to read and learn the Quran.

The app is available on both iOS and Android platforms as well as at www.muslimpro.com. To date, Muslim Pro has been downloaded over 5 million times, specifically in Muslim countries with high mobile smartphone penetration like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Turkey and Morocco. The app is also popular amongst Muslim communities in France, UK, US and Singapore.

Traditionally, usage of the app peaks during the month of Ramadan, and the on-going fasting month is no different.

For non-Android and iOS device users, mobile developer Bitsmedia recently launched the web version of the app. The user-friendly website leverages on the latest browser technologies and Google’s cloud computing and CDN services to ensure fast loading and response.

“We are extremely excited about the very positive feedback we are getting from Muslims around the world. That is our motivation to make Muslim Pro even better!” said Erwan Mace, CEO of Bitsmedia, the compay that developed Muslim Pro.

Singapore-based Bitsmedia has plans to bring the popular app to other platforms including feature phones and is looking into partnerships with telcos and OEM manufacturers. Bitsmedia are also building its own database of mosques and halal eateries instead on relying solely on the Foursquare API as it is doing now.

Muslim Pro is available for free on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
