Some have the opinion that the Samsung Galaxy SIII is the best smartphone in town. It’s difficult to deny that fact – the flagship handset is packed with top of the line features, and advanced technical specifications, making it one of the sought-after smartphones in the market.  With its quad core processor, you’ll get to enjoy everything, from web browsing, video streaming, to downloading in a much accelerated performance. It also features an extra-large touchscreen display, great for viewing media content.

Design and Display

Measuring 136.6 mm x 70.6 mm x 8.6 mm, this handset is undeniably thin, and at a weight of 133 g, you’ll have no trouble carrying it around. With its ergonomic design, you can easily wrap it around your fingers without any hassle. Apart from its slender body, it also has sleek curves, making it more attractive than ever. As mentioned earlier, the Galaxy SIII sports a huge 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED touchscreen display, which is further enhanced by the Corning Gorilla Glass. Hence, it isn’t only durable, but also resistant to unsightly nick and scratches caused by sudden drops.

Camera. Just like its sibling, the Galaxy SII, this smartphone is also armed with an 8 megapixel camera, allowing you to capture high definition photos and videos at 30 frames per second. There’s also an LED flash located at the back of the unit, which provides ample illumination when shooting at night or in low-light situations. Some of the features that you may find very useful include panorama, HDR, and Burst mode.

S Voice. One of the highlights of the Samsung Galaxy SIII is the S Voice. This feature is quite helpful, especially when you’re feeling a bit lazy. It has the ability to perform basic mobile functions such as texting, calling, and taking snapshots. All you have to do is to use your voice and tell your phone to dial the number of the person you want to call or text.

Direct Call. This is a simply amazing feature. Direct call knows whether you want to call your friend or send him an SMS. Example, if you’re about to text your friend but decided to call him instead, simply place your phone near to your ear and Direct Call will then call your friend in a snap.

S Beam. It is an advanced feature that allows you to share your documents, photos, songs, videos, apps, and everything in between with your friend by simply placing your phone and the other Galaxy SIII phone in a back to back position. With this feature, you no longer need to send a variety of files via email, which can only consume much of your time.

AllShare Play. First featured on the Galaxy SII, this feature allows you to play multimedia files, from pictures, videos, movies, from your phone directly to the big screen, be it a pc or flat TV through wireless connection.

Pros and Cons:

Pros:

  • It is powered by a quad-core processor, which delivers fast and smooth performance.
  • Huge touchscreen display.
  • Advanced camera packed with cool features, giving you stunning results.
  • It is scratch-resistant.

Cons:

  • It isn’t budget-friendly.
  • Some features only work on Samsung smartphones.

Suffice it to say, the Samsung Galaxy SIII is an advanced Android phone that is loaded with user-friendly features. This is quite ideal for technically savvy mobile users, and for all photo enthusiasts out there, you’ll surely relish the camera as well as its scene modes and photo effects. Before you rush and get this unit, it is best to do more research online and read user reviews so as to avoid regrets in the future.
