Research In Motion (RIM) has been really busy churning out stuff lately, with a slew of new hardware running BlackBerry OS 7. This leaked snapshot however, could be RIM’s maiden BBX-powered (based on QNX) mobile device known as “London”.

BBX-logoAccording to the source, London will sport a dual-core 1.5Ghz TI OMAP processor and a generous 1GB of RAM with 16GB on internal storage. No details on the display, but it will feature a 8MP rear-facing camera and 2MP at the front. From the image, it is clear that RIM is attempting to reinvent itself with an entirely new form factor and design direction. Purportedly slimmer than of the iPhone 4 and has a width and depth of a Samsung Galaxy S II. The boxy design looks similar to the Porsche Design P9981 limited edition smartphone announced earlier.

London is slated for a June 2012 release alongside two lower-end phones, as well as a brand new Torch. Stay tuned!
