AT&T: 200,000 Preorders of iPhone 4S in First 12 Hours

In a brief statement, AT&T, a leading provider of wireless and high speed internet in the US, has announced that demand for the iPhone 4S has been remarkable with more than 200,000 preorders in the first 12 hours, making it the most successful iPhone launch they have ever had. The iPhone 4S, revealed by Apple last week at the “Let’s Talk iPhone” event in Cupertino, is powered by Apple’s dual-core A5 processor offering incredible performance improvements over the iPhone 4 it replaces. The iPhone 4S also comes with a 8MP camera with advanced optics and the same high-def Retina Display. The iPhone 4S is Apple’s first product to include iOS 5, iCloud and an intelligent personal assistant called Siri.

iPhone 4S comes in both black and white. The rollout of the new iPhone 4S is reported to be the fastest in history. iPhone 4S will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Japan and the UK on Friday, October 14. iPhone 4S will roll out worldwide to 22 more countries by the end of October including Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Norway, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The suggested retail prices – $199 (US) for the 16GB model and $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the new 64GB model.
