Troubled Canadian smartphone maker BlackBerry Limited (“BlackBerry”) announced that it has signed a letter of intent (LOI), by which a consortium led by Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited (“Fairfax”) has offered to acquire the company, subject to due diligence.
