New year, new car: New Honda City is now open for booking

New Honda City

Malaysia’s B-segment leader – the Honda City is set to stir Malaysian hearts again with its latest enhanced version. The new City is now open for booking at all 88 Honda authorized dealers nationwide, starting today, 1 February.

The enhanced sedan is based on the 4th generation model, which sold more than 100,000 units since its launch in March 2014. Its success is certainly no surprise, with a barrage of class-leading features, outstanding comfort, spaciousness, safety, fuel efficiency and edgy modern design.

The new City builds upon this with even more value-added features, set to entice young singles and families.

No change in the power department, supplied by Honda’s venerable 1.5L i-VTEC engine mated with Honda’s Earth Dreams Technology Continuous Variable Transmission (CVT) for all variants.

The good news is, there’s a host of new goodies thrown in including new dual-tone alloy wheels, LED headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (V variant only) and front LED fog lights. The V variant also gets a Duck Tail Spoiler integrated with LED Brake Light, LED Taillights and Multi-Angle Reverse Camera.

All variants get the handy Push Start Button and Smart Entry feature.

Safety continues to be a key focus and the new City again sets the benchmark in the B-segment. All variants sport Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA), Hill Start Assist (HSA) and Emergency Stop Signal (ESS) systems. The premium V variant pack six airbags.

Trunk space remains biggest in its class at 536L – ample room for your grocery shopping, suitcases, golf bags or baby prams.
