Free Yes Altitude and Yes 4G LTE prepaid plan with every purchase of a Proton car

Proton and YTL Communications continues their joint collaboration into 2017 with a new exclusive bundle for Proton customers. Each purchase of a selected Proton car will see a Yes Altitude 4G LTE smartphone bundled with a 12-month 4G LTE prepaid plan for free.

Proton and YTL Communications first pioneered the introduction of in-car connectivity in Malaysia back in 2012. Proton cars were bundled with Yes 4G Huddle XS mobile hotspot devices, supplying always-on connectivity to passengers on the go.

So far, over 135,000 Huddle XS’ have been given out to Proton car owners.

Proton Yes 4G LTE

The new enhanced Proton Yes Altitude Plan will take advantage of Yes’ new all-data 4G LTE network (with VoLTE). The combination of Yes’ 4G LTE and 4G WiMAX has a coverage of 85% of the population nationwide, urban and rural areas.

The plan gives customers 16GB of 4G LTE data per month, with free on-net calls and SMS for 12 months.

The package will be offered exclusively to Proton customers for all Proton cars of Executive variants and above. Models covered include the new Saga, new Persona, new Perdana, Iriz, Exora, Ertiga, Suprima S and Preve.

The Yes Altitude is Yes’ budget device, made for the masses. It’s in fact, the most affordable VoLTE phone in Malaysia. It packs a 5-inch HD display, 1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage and a 2,300mAh battery. It sports an 8MP rear shooter and a 2MP selfie camera. The Yes Altitude retails for MYR399.

Proton also said that each Yes Altitude device will be bundled with the MyProton application. The app enables customers to book test drive cars, book service appointments and get details on Proton cars and promos. The app is available for both iOS and Android.

The special bundle kicks off from 14 January till 28 February 2017, while stocks last.
