If the outrageous US$9,000 Acer Predator 21x stole the show at IFA 2016, then Razer’s “Project Valerie” certainly takes the limelight at CES 2017. The mind-blowing three-screen gaming notebook is equally outrageous, and similarly, you’ll want to take one home.

It doesn’t yet have a proper product name, but hey, “Project Valerie” sounds fine to me. It’s the world’s first portable notebook with three built-in monitors.

I know, it’s crazy. Each of the 17.3-inch 4K IGZO display supports NVIDIA G-SYNC tech, so you’re assured tear-free, silky smooth gameplay. And of course, 180-degree NVIDIA Surround View gaming.

Of course you do not have to be a gamer to appreciate the hardware. If you’re a creative professional, the multi-monitor setup would be ideal. Plus the 100 percent Adobe RGB colour accuracy will surely be handy.

The unique three-monitor system uses an automatic slide mechanism designed by Razer.

The notebook is made from a unibody CNC aluminum chassis measuring just 1.5-inches thick, and weighs less than 5kg.

Cosmetics-wise, it retains the much-loved and iconic Razer design.

Project Valerie also utilizes the thermal management system found on other Razer notebooks. The custom-design fan and dynamic heat exchangers pair with a vapour chamber to dissipate heat efficiently.

The groundbreaking concept is the second Razer notebook to use Razer’s Ultra-Low-Profile Mechanical switches. Each key press register with 65g of force, mimicking the feel of full-size mechanical keyboards.

If you’re a fan of lighting effects, the keyboard, trackpad, extended monitors are powered by Razer Chroma.

Under the hood, Project Valerie boasts 7th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, and the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU.
