Its new product series – Sonica Wi-Fi Speaker, is now in Malaysia.
Sonica is an elegant yet powerful Wi-Fi speaker made for your living room. The connected speaker packs impressive state-of-the-art audio technology into a compact package.
Underneath, it features four amplifiers in a 2.1 configuration. Each of the 2.5-inch wideband drivers has 10W amps with neodymium magnets. This is mated to two additional amps operating in an abridged set-up, delivering 30W to the central bass woofer. For more bass, there’s 3.0-inch radiators on left and right sides.
With Wi-Fi, AirPlay and Bluetooth 4.1 support, you can easily manage multiple speakers via the free Sonica app with your smartphone or tablet. Through the app you can play the same song in unison, or different tune at every corner of your home.
Impeccably built, Sonica is all about its audio quality. The acoustic design and tuning of the speaker was performed by Igor Levitsky, the same designer behind the award-winning OPPO PM-series planar magnetic headphones. Having personally experienced the PM-3 headphones (and being mind-blown), the Sonica will certainly satisfy audiophiles and music lovers.
Sonica decodes audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz from mobile devices, USB drives, DLNA servers as well as NAS drives. It also supports lossless audio formats like FLAC, WAVE and Apple Lossless.
In terms of connectivity, it has multiple built-in adaptive antennae with MU-MIMO technology supporting 2.4GHz and 5GHz 802.11ac Wi-Fi (backward compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n).
First release in California on 20 May 2016, the speaker range has impressed HiFi media and reviewers.
