Alongside its world’s first 17-inch 2-in-1 notebook, Dell also introduced to its updated Inspiron range at Computex Taiwan 2016 – the award-winning 5000 and 3000 series.
The new notebooks have been recognized with five Computex d&I 2016 awards – for excellence in design and innovation.
Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1
First up is the 11-inch Inspiron 3000 series, featuring a colourful, fun design that’s made for ultra portability. Packing the latest Intel processors (up to Core m3) and a HD display, the Inspiron 3000 is perfect for students and families alike. It also comes with a USB 3.0 port and microSD slot.
Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 notebooks
The sleek new Inspiron 5000 2-in-1 notebook comes in 13- and 15-inch options with Full HD displays and 6th Generation Intel Core i power (up to Core i7).
The 13-inch Inspiron 5000 is compact and lightweight, making ultraportable for travel.
On the other hand, the 15-inch version has 40% more screen real estate, making it great for work and play. Weighing 1.62kg for the 13-inch, 2.08kg for the 15-inch with Full HD True-Life LED backlit touch display, they pack up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM.
Also available with SSD storage for better performance and longer battery life.
Inspiron 15 & 17 5000
The 15- and 17-inch non-2-in-1 Inspiron 5000 notebooks are equally as impressive in terms design and hardware specs – Full HD display with Intel/AMD processor options.
For those who still believe in optical drives, it comes with an optical DVD drive and optional Blu-Ray writer (not available for the 17-inch model).
The Inspiron 5000 comes in brilliant colours – Midnight Blue, Bali Blue and Tango Red.
Pricing and availability
The Inspiron 13 & 15 5000 2-in-1s will be available starting 2 June on Dell.com in the US and China, retailing at US$529/MYR2,183.
The Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 will be available from 2 June on Dell.com in the US and China, starting at US$249/MYR1,027.
The Inspiron 15 and 17 5000 Series will be available in global markets later this year.
The Inspiron 13, 15 & 17 7000 2-in-1s will be available beginning 2 June on Dell.com in the US and China, starting at US$749/MYR3,090.
