Create Canvas on Facebook Pages starting 22 June

Facebook Canvas

Starting 22 June, Facebook Pages will be able to create Canvases for organic Page posts. Canvas will bring an immersive experience to 50 million Facebook page owners around the globe.

What’s Canvas?

Canvas is a create space that lets business tell their stories and showcase their products in a more immersive, expressive way. Canvases can be built with videos, still images, call-to-action buttons and as a user, you can swipe through a carousel of images, tilt to view panoramic images; or zoom in to view images in detail.

Facebook Canvas

The great thing is that Canvas is designed for mobile—it’s fast-loading and a seamless experience on Android and iOS. It loads 10x faster than standard mobile web.

Some brands already harnessing the power of Canvas include Target, BMW, Macy’s, Wendy’s and Marvel’s Jessica Jones.

Canvases can be created as organic Page Posts in Pages Publishing Tools or through a Canvas URL, pasted on Canvas.

You can also create Canvases by selecting “Create a Canvas” option in the dropdown menu in Pages Composer.
