Presenting the latest tablet in town – the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 2016, a sleek, affordable, premium-looking tablet. Samsung calls it ‘modest but powerful’ and also claims that seven inches is ‘perfectly sized.’

The newest member of the Galaxy Tab A series boasts faster hardware, bigger (and expandable) storage, higher resolution camera and sharper display.

It weighs in at only 289g, and measures a trim 8.7mm. It comes with a stylish non-slip pattern at the back, the gives it a firm grip.

There’s micro-SD support that let’s you add up to 200GB of additional storage. You know you’ll going to need it to keep all your digital books, songs, movies, photos, videos and games.

Under the hood is a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 processor with 1.5GB of RAM, mated to 8GB of onboard storage.

It gets a 7-inch WXGA TFT display (216PPI), 5MP rear camera and 2MP front.

Keeping the tablet juiced is a 4,000mAh battery. This delivers up to 11 hours of web browsing and 10 hours of continuous movie playback.

It runs Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with TouchWIZ on top.

The Galaxy Tab A 2016 is available now, at Samsung Experience Stores worldwide. It comes in Silver, White and Black. It retails at MYR799 (incl. GST).
