At its annual technology showcase – LG Convention 2016, LG Malaysia previewed some interesting devices to media. The award-winning LG Rolly Keyboard is coming to Malaysia in the second half of the year.
The LG Rolly Keyboard can be summed up as a unique, roll-able portable Bluetooth keyboard. It features a tactile QWERTY chiclet keyboard that you can conveniently roll-up or unroll for use. Weighing just 156g, you can effortlessly store it in your bag. And yes, minus the bulk.
Its built-in stand lets you dock a tablet or a smartphone. It conveniently pairs with iOS, Android and Windows devices via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth range is rated at 10m.
The keyboard is powered by a single AAA battery (included) and battery life is claimed to be up to four months when its connected, or up to 15 months on standby.
Pricing and availability
The LG Rolly Keyboard costs US119.99/(est. MYR468), but no official Malaysian pricing has been revealed yet. I guess we’ll have to wait till its launched some time second half of 2016.
Initial impressions
This is an intriguing concept that’s executed really well. This would be a great accessory for mobile workers like me. Sometimes we may not want to lug a notebook. A smartphone or small tablet with an attached keyboard like the LG Rolly Keyboard would be handy.
