Feature-packed honor Band Z1 officially launched in Malaysia

Honor’s first smartband – honor Band Z1 has officially been launched in Malaysia. First revealed in London together with the honor 7 last year, the wearable has been available for sale locally since 19 January 2016.

Retailing at MYR259, it comes in three colour options – Black, White and Khaki straps. The Black strap option comes with a black aluminium body, while the White and Khaki colours are paired with a silver aluminium body.

At the launch, Allen An, e-commerce director, honor Malaysia said that the honor Band Z1 encompasses both elegance and simplicity, and is packed with technology.

Simple style

The design is inspired by Scandinavian minimalism, hence the simplistic outlook devoid of any buttons.

The Band Z1 is made of steel, finished with a combination of CNC machining, hand polishing and sand polishing. It’s scratch-resistant as well as rated IP68 dust- and water-resistant to a depth of 1.5m.

The smartband is button-free, with the 1.06-inch 128x128p resolution PMOLED touchscreen the sole input component. You can access notifications, alarms and more via a simple swipe.

Read messages and emails, and It can also support multiple languages like English, German, Italian, French, Portugese, Spanish and Japanese.

Making sense of data

The honor doesn’t just look pretty and tell the time. It’s also… surprise, surprise, your personal activity tracker. With a built-in high accuracy G-sensor, capacitive sensor, and polysomnography (PSG) – it tracks and logs everything from your walking, running, to your sleep.

Standby battery life from its 70mAh battery is claimed to be up to 14 days, or 3 days of active use on a single charge. With its bundled wireless charging dock, get from zero to hero in 1.5 hours. A 10-minute charge will deliver a full day’s use.

The honor Band Z1 supports Android 4.4.4 and above for non-Huawei smartphones; Android 5.0 and above for Huawei smartphones, as well as iOS 7.0 and above.
