[CES 2016] At under 7mm, the Acer R1 series is the world’s thinnest monitor

Acer R1 monitor

Just how thin can a monitor go? For Acer, it’s nothing more than 7mm. That’s thinner than some modern smartphones! The Acer R1 series is now officially the world’s thinnest monitor, revealed at CES 2016 (Consumer Electronics Show), Las Vegas.

With ultra-thin enclosures of under 7mm, the Acer R1 monitors are made for everyday computing, in any space and environment. The famed ZeroFrame design optimizes the view, and minimizes clutter. The bezel is almost unnoticeable, making it perfect for multi-monitor setups.

The IPS Full HD panel brings you outstanding 178-degree viewing angles and colour consistency across the screen.

With Acer’s Flickerless and Blue Light Filter technologies, the R1 series takes care of your eyes, ensuring they remain comfortable even if you’re staring at the screen for long hours.

There’s 5 to 15-degree adjustable tilt, so you’ll always be able to find an angle that’s right for you.

The R1 series is available in 21.5-, 23-, 23.8-, 25- and 27-inch size options.

Pricing and availability

The R1 series monitor will be rolled out according to regions, with pricing to be announced soon.
