[Video] This true story is a reminder that our family is bigger than we think

Maxis Selamat Hari Malaysia 2015

Remember the touching video of 80-year old Uncle San and Shirin that was posted before Merdeka? The true story, told by Maxis, is reminder for us to look past our differences and to also make us realise that our family is larger than we think. Here’s the full length video that you really need to watch.

From 1998 to 2015, Shirin Aziha and Uncle San formed a strong familial-like bond since they first met close to two decades ago. Despite not having family ties, they always showed kindness and respect toward one another.

Shirin and Uncle San’s bond is a testament that true friendship does exist. And it transcends colour and creed. Nothing is more powerful in this world than love, empathy and sincerity.

If each of us can respect, see the beauty in others and pay it forward; the world will be a better place.

Selamat Hari Kebangsaan and Selamat Hari Malaysia 2015.
