HTC One E9+ dual SIM: The more affordable One is now in town

HTC One E9+

On the heels of its flagship HTC One M9+, HTC has revealed yet another One – the HTC One E9+ dual SIM for the Malaysian market. The One E9+ is a sleek, feature-packed smartphone that’s light on the wallet yet boasts the much-loved iconic flagship design of the One series.

The One E9+ boasts a stunning 5.5-inch 2K WQHD display (2560×1440 @ 534PPI) protected by Gorilla Glass 4.

It uses a slightly down-clocked octa-core Mediatek MT6795M (Helio X10) chipset running at 2GHz, mated to a PowerVR G6200 GPU with 3GB RAM.

You may be thinking, hey, it sounds suspiciously similar with the flagship One M9+. And you’re not wrong. In fact, the One E9+ shares some of its underpinnings with the One M9+, except for its bigger size, and polycarbonate build.

It gets 32GB of on-board storage and a microSD expansion slot for further upgrades (up to 2TB).

Differing from the more expensive sibling though, is the camera set-up. While the One M9+ has a dual camera, the One E9+ settles for a single 20MP f/2.2 BSI rear camera with a single LED flash. The front is the familiar 4MP f/2.0 fixed-focus, front-facing UltraPixel camera with BSI.

The One E9+ is a dual-LTE Cat4 device, taking nano-SIM.

Unlike the One M9+, it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor and also has a slightly smaller 2,800mAh non-removable battery.

The affordable One E9+ runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with HTC Sense UI 7. You’ll get the familiar HTC BlinkFeed, HTC Zoe Highlights and more.

Pricing and availability

The One E9+ is available from 30 July 2015 in Gold Sepia or Classic Rose Gold at all authorised dealers and resellers, and is priced at RM1,899.
