Dell last week announced an enhanced networking portfolio targeted at small to medium-sized busineses (SMBs) in Malaysia. The tech giant rolled out the new X-Series family of smart-managed switches and an expanded N-Series family, including the Dell N1500 for smaller fully-managed environments.
The rise of mobile, adoption of cloud computing and the rise of Big Data have increased computing and workload requirements. SMBs are often constrained by limited resources. Dell’s new networking solutions combine cost effective, enterprise-level network control with easy-of-use to help SMBs grow and retain their competitive edge.
Dell Networking X-Series
The X-Series is a family of smart web-managed 1 Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) and 10GbE switches specifically for SMBs. The series offers intuitive, enterprise-class features as well as multiple flexible configurations. Advanced network management is easy, without the need of a professional IT personnel, thanks to step-by-step wizards and customisable dashboards.
Dell Networking N1500
Made for smaller networks, the N1500 family is a portfolio of fully-managed 1GbE switches. They utilise a comprehensive enterprise-class Layer 2/3 feature set, common command-line interface (CLI) and standard 10GbE SFP+ transceivers and cables for stacking. They provide 200 1GbE ports in a 4-unit stack.
