Comic Fiesta 2014: Logitech G unleashes G302 Daedalus Prime MOBA gaming mouse

Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime

At the annual epic ACG (Anime, Comics & Games) event — Comic Fiesta 2014, Logitech introduced its latest Logitech G mouse, the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime MOBA Gaming Mouse. According to Logitech, the entry-level G302 was tested by professional MOBA gamers around the world including players from Team SoloMid, cloud 9, CJ Entus Blaze, and Invictus Gaming.

It may be an entry-level model, but the G302 is built to withstand even the most rigorous of eSports activities, with its metal spring tensioning system. Its left and right buttons are rapid, tactile and responsive.

The G302 also features Logitech’s Delta Zero sensor technology, also found in its G gaming mouse range. It combines an exclusive lens design, illumination geometry and algorithms optimised to provide the most accurate translation of hand movements to on-screen action.

High-speed clicking is the G302’s specialty, with the buttons able to register up to five clicks per second.

Customisability is certainly essential with a gaming mouse, and the G302 delivers with six programmable buttons. Whether it’s one button hotkeys or complex macros, the G302 has it covered. DPI settings can also be configured to your liking, with four level adjustments available.

The G302 is lightweight with super low friction feet and ultra-durable primary buttons that’s gone through some 20 million clicks of testing. That’s equivalent to an eSports athlete playing up to 15 hours per day for two years (are you nuts?).

Initial impressions

Make no mistake, the G302 is an entry level mouse. That being said, the mouse does feel solidly built, and I really like the feel of the buttons. I tend to prefer a much heavier gaming mouse and a tad bigger, but the G302 should appeal to the general audience. If it’s good enough for the pros, it should be good for most too.

For very little money, you’re getting a well put together piece of input device although more serious gamers may want to look higher up the range.
