Last week in Hong Kong, ZTE released the Blade Vec 4G, its latest mid-range smartphone with a Pure Android experience. Running Android 4.4 KitKat, the device offers the same Google experience as a Nexus device or a Google Play Edition.

The ZTE Blade Vec 4G is similar hardware-wise with its European variant – featuring a 5-inch HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of storage, 8MP rear camera and 2,300mAh battery. The device measures just 7.8mm thick.

The China monolith also unveiled “one of the world’s fastest 4G smartphones” – the Grand SII LTE, which supports 17 frequency bands across GSM, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, FDD-LTE and TDD-LTE modes.

The Grand SII LTE packs some impressive specs including the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset running at 2.3Ghz, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The 5.5-inch phone comes with a 3,100mAh battery.

ZTE has said it will be launching more devices with Google’s default launcher in the future.

ZTE has been rather quiet in Malaysia, and we’re looking forward to these phones in the Malaysian market soon.
