Little OPPO N1 mini hits Peninsular Malaysia

If you’re a fan of the OPPO N1 and its unique swiveling camera but not big on its massive 5.9-inch footprint (or shall we say palmprint), then you’re in luck. The OPPO N1 mini, a considerably more compact version, is now available in West Malaysia, as announced by OPPO.

The OPPO N1 mini is mid-range in terms of specs, compared to its bigger sibling. Packing a 5-inch HD 720p display, quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset running at 1.6Ghz with 2GB RAM, the Oppo N1 mini does enough to appeal. There’s also 16GB of storage. Sadly, no microSD expansion.

Don’t let the seemingly lower processor spec fool you though. The OPPO N1 mini has several pluses over the bigger OPPO N1. First, it comes with 4G LTE, something its sibling lacked. Secondly, its 13MP main shooter now comes with additional features including Animated GIF and UltraHD mode that upscales images to 24MP.

The front camera gets a whopping 13MP and photo beautification tools, so go crazy with the selfies (in high-res, no doubt).

Battery life should be above average, the Li-ion rated at 2,140mAh.

The OPPO N1 mini runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box and retails at RM1,398.00. Available at all OPPO stores and authorised dealers in Peninsula Malaysia. East Malaysian fans may have to wait a little longer.
