Redmi Note

Xiaomi‘s famed phablet – the Redmi Note will officially reach Malaysian hands today at 12pm, 22 July. It is highly likely to be sold out in about 90 seconds, but heck, it’s still worth a shot right?

Apart from the Redmi Note, Xiaomi will also be offering 10,000 units of the popular 10,400mAh Mi Power Bank and 5,000 units of the 5,200mAh variant.

The Redmi Note is Xiaomi’s phablet, packing a true octa-core MediaTek MTK 6592 1.7Ghz processor, a bright 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 8GB storage with expandable microSD memory, 13MP rear facing shooter, 5MP front-facing camera and a huge 3,100mAh battery.

Like the Redmi 1S, the Redmi Note is dual-SIM (one slot for WCDMA for 3G data,  one GSM slot for 2G data).

The Redmi Note will of course run Android 4.3 with MIUI V5. The phablet will retail for RM509.

In other news, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the new flagship 4G LTE-enabled Mi4 tomorrow in Beijing.

In any case, get your wallets ready. Time to shop!
