FINDIT, Malaysia’s largest digital directory has kicked off a Photo Contest where participants stand towin airtime for submissions. The unique contest helps quickly grow the directory further, and in return, reward users.

Everyone has their favourite hangout spot, coffee joint and even book store that they want to share with others. With the FINDIT Photo Contest, users can take pictures of these favourite places and submit it to FINDIT via the free FINDIT app.

Maxis rewards RM1 worth of airtime for each photo submitted.

A user, Sia Ming Choung from Perak submitted a whopping 200 photos during his travels from the West Coast to the East Coast of Malaysia, gaining RM208 in airtime rewards.

To date, more than 1,800 photos have already been uploaded by users.

The contest runs until end of June 2014. To enter, users just need to download the FINDIT app for free and click on Photo Contest. Further steps below:

  • Take a geo-tagged photo of any place of interest (POI)
  • Fill in your name and Maxis mobile number
  • Upload the photo*

FINDIT is a partnership between Maxis and FINDIT Malaysia, that offers consumers access to 185,000 business listings in over 2,500 categories, including maps and driving directions.

Launched in March, FINDIT gives SMEs access to a wider audience and an additional channel to promote their products and services, as well as connect with their own customers.

Location-based, FINDIT enables easy search of locations based on proximity to users. In addition, users can enjoy special offers and promotions, redeemable immediately.

FINDIT is free for everyone to use and is available on Android, iOS, via mobile site at m.findit.com.my and www.findit.com.my. Maxis customers can also access FINDIT via UMB by dialling *200# from their mobile.

*Note: Photos of locations should be clear, and not contain faces of individuals (no, no selfies). To qualify for the RM1 airtime reward, photos must be chosen as the ‘Primary Display Picture.’ Users can submit as many photos as they wish.
