Music lovers and running enthusiasts alike will be getting their hearts thumping at The Music Run by AIA this Sunday, 23 March 2014, the most interactive 5km fun run on the planet. The unique fun run will happen at Selangor Turf Club, Sungai Besi.
The Music Run is a one-of-a-kind running experience as music fans can walk, run or dance through five 1km music zones: Pop Divas, Indie Rock, Pop Kings, Hip Hop and Dance Music. Each of these zones are powered by Spotify.
Maxis Hotlink is the official telco and have kindly sponsored a slot for me, as well as four passes for VERNONCHAN.COM readers. Hotlink will be hosting one of the 1km music zones i.e Pop Kings.
The run’s tagline “Your music, your beat” encapsulates the run’s true fun-loving, musically-inclined nature. Registered participants can vote online for their favourite track from each of the 5 music genres. The Top 10 most popular tracks from each genre will be selected as Spotify’s music zone playlists for the run proper.
Unlike other marathons and themed running events, The Music Run has no time clock which means anyone of any fitness level can join in the fun and complete the run at his or her own pace. You can even dress as your favourite music personality! Just get out there and have fun!
The Music Run Brand Personalities who will be gracing the event are the talented Patricia Knudsen (DJ, Model, Host and TV presenter), Linora Low (DJ, Host and TV Host), Reem Shahwa (TV Presenter) and awesome Poova Plachciak (Singer Songwriter – I’m a fan). Each embodies the spirit of The Music Run through their passion for music and living healthy lifestyles.
The fun run will end its program with a fist-pumping music festival at the finish zone.
While built for fun, The Music Run also focuses on giving back, and we will be donating 10% from race entry to two charities – Purosangue and are working with AIA Bhd to identify a local charity.
