July 5, 2013 – Maxis has once again been recognised as one of the most trusted brands in the region, receiving the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand 2013 Awards in the Phone & Broadband Service Category. This is the sixth time the telco has won the award, previously winning in 2010, 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2005.

YM Raja Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Arshad Raja Tun Uda, Chairman of Maxis, accepted the award from YB Dato’ Sri Ahmad Shabery Cheek, Minister of Communications and Multimedia at a special ceremony which was held recently at the Mandarin Oriental hotel.

The Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands survey is the premier consumer-based, international measure of brand preference. It provides an objective and reliable reference for consumers throughout the region, covering Malaysia, Hong Kong, India, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand. The elite Platinum Trusted Brand Award is reserved for brands with scores three times or more that of the nearest competitor and top-ranked in their respective categories.

Maxis is no stranger to awards and recognition, having also received the People’s Choice Putra Brand Icon at the 2013 Putra Brand awards. It was also named one of Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands in 2012 and received The BrandLaureate Award 2011-2012, considered by many to be the ‘Grammy Awards’ for Branding, in the Best Brands Category for Telecommunications.

Congratulations, Maxis!
