Maxis has announced a partnership with Opera Software, launching a first-ever unlimited web browsing plan via the Opera Mini browser for as low as RM1 a day. The flexible, cost-effective plan will be delivered via the web pass platform and brings affordability to web surfers without committing to a monthly data plan.

The RM1 a day plan is available to both Maxis’ prepaid and postpaid subscribers. To browse the web over Maxis’ network, just activate the Opera Mini unlimited browsing data plan and start surfing. Users just need to run the Maxis/Opera Mini browser, click the “RM1/DAY” web pass icon, pick the one-day, unlimited data plan and confirm the purchase.

Maxis is also offering Twitter Mobile for free via Maxis FREEZONE. Users can click on the “Maxis FREEZONE” icon on the homepage of Maxis/Opera Mini browser.

The Opera Mini data plan is available for the Opera Mini browser v4.4 and above, on BlackBerry, J2ME, S60 and Android phones.
