Goodbye Favourites, Shortcuts is so much better.

Evernote, everyone’s favourite multi-platform productivity suite, has released a slew of updates to enhance productivity of basic and premium users further. Evernote has enhanced Skitch for iOS and Android, introduced Shortcuts and Announcements for iOS, and a better Evernote Widget for Android.

Annotate PDFs directly

An enhanced Skitch
Evernote Skitch is an excellent way to annotate images and notes, and the update adds even more features to the app for both iOS and Android. Each note on the mobile now comes with a Skitch icon that allows for direct Skitch access. Once a user is done with a note, a new note is created in his account.

The update also now enables annotation on PDF for both iOS and Android. This feature is available for everyone in a 30-day preview. Premium users get even more — on-the-go feedback with work projects, scanned documents and research.

Move over Favourites, here comes Shortcuts
Shortcuts takes over where Favourites left off — a powerful new way to always have your important notes, notebooks, and tags available instantly on either iPhone or iPad. Shortcuts cuts down time in creating and managing notes, notebooks and tags. Shortcuts will also sync across iPhone and iPad devices. Neat.

Announcing Announcements for iOS
Evernote has launched a useful resource for iOS Evernote users — Announcements. Announcements keeps users updated with product updates, user stories and how-to articles. It’s a great way for Evernote to keep connected with their users and share useful tips and stories.

Evernote Widget on Android

New Evernote Widget on Android
The Evernote Widget on Android now has a List View that puts notes in a swipeable list. View notes without having to even launch the app.

The widget also lets users add reminders to a note directly by tapping the new Reminder icon. Reminders and notes are synced across platforms.

Users can also now place the widget on their phone lock screens.
