It wasn’t too long ago that I acquired a super compact Casio Exilim EX-ZR20 camera, and if you’ve been following some updates on this nifty companion, you would have seen some sample photos using the Miniature and Monochrome filter modes. Continuing this multi-part impressions series, I had a rare chance to roam around downtown Kuala Lumpur and went a-snapping.

The gloomy, wet evening wasn’t really a challenge as I put Premium Auto and Pop modes to the test. As you would have known from my previous impressions, I’m a fan of the Monochrome mode. Dramatic, noisy and contrasty, the mode makes normal pictures have an edgy, analog feel. Premium Auto shoots at high-res and automatically detects the best, optimum settings in terms of ISO, exposure and shutter speed for your pictures.
Pop is one of the arty filters available, and its great to bring out vibrancy, contrast and colours in photos. Have a look at the photos below, including comparisons between Premium Auto and Pop mode.
