It’s another clear acknowledgment from the industry that Malaysia is spearheading the adoption of next-generation, 4G wireless technologies.
On his Facebook Wall, Wing congratulated the Yes team, saying, “We won 2012 Asia Pacific Most Innovative Service Provider of the Year! Congrats to my entire team of amazing colleagues and partners – thanks for believing in our vision. And thank you to our dear customers for being part of our journey of innovation. Rock on!”
Commenting on the award, Vikas Chanani, Industry Analyst-Mobile and Wireless, APAC-ICT Practice, Frost & Sullivan, said, “Launched in November 2010, YTL Communications is the first in the world to deliver mobile telephony on a mobile broadband network. Subscribers get both Internet and Voice in a single plan with voice roaming being free. The 4G network provided is SIM-less and runs on a user ID that comes with its own mobile number. Subscribers can log on to multiple devices, all at the same time.”
