The Xperia go and Xperia acro S feature scratch-resistant mineral glass display and meet industry standard IP ratings* (International Protection) for protection against dust and water immersion. Through industry research, it was found that consumers consider durability and water resistance as important factors in their purchasing decisions.
The Xperia go features a crisp 3.5″ Reality Display powered by Mobile BRAVIA Engine, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5MP camera, scratch-resistant mineral glass with the highest level of dust and water resistance in a smartphone – IP67 Rating and powered by Android Gingerbread 2.3 (upgradable to Ice Cream Sandwich). Xperia go will launch in the US market under the name “Xperia advance”
Xperia acro S boasts a 4.3” HD Reality Display for razor sharp clarity, HD video chat and easy HDMI TV connectivity to enjoy content on the big screen. NFC-enabled, Xperia acro S can easily open applications with one touch against an Xperia SmartTag. With a top-of-the-line 12MP camera capable of full HD video recording, it supports fast capture, the camera goes from sleep to snap in just over a second with a single key press. The Xperia acro S is also PlayStation-certified and will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box.
Xperia go and Xperia acro S will be available globally from the third quarter of 2012.
