The geek fraternity should rejoice that Yes hasn’t locked down their maiden Eclipse smartphone ala Motorola. Running Android Froyo v2.2.2, I’m currently attempting to root the device using GingerBreak v1.2. The hardware reminds me a lot of my Nexus One, 1Ghz Snapdragon yada yada. The rooting process should only take a couple of minutes but then again, it is quite a customised ROM so we’ll see. Will report!
