Maxis Launching BlackBerry PlayBook Today

Maxis is set to officially launch the BlackBerry PlayBook at a special media launch event later today. As reported several weeks back, the official consumer launch will be held on 16 July 2011 at the KL Convention Center. The much-anticipated QNX-powered tablet will retail for RM1,599 RRP (sans plan) for the entry level 16GB model, and up to RM2,199 for the 64GB option.

Maxis has outlined several attractive plans for existing Maxis BIS users, as below:

For the first 600 buyers on the day of launch, Maxis will be giving away:

• Limited Edition BlackBerry PlayBook Accessory Kit – Includes a BlackBerry convertible case worth RM288 and a Micro HDMI to HDMI cable.
