Shit happens when you least expect it. My friend, Des, evaluates the damage to his car after a friend flipped his Starlet Turbo at Turn 12 at the SIC. Lesson learned: Never lend your car to a friend for track days.

Hi Vernon,
It hurts to see this picture. Hope no one was hurt. You also better becareful on the roads and track. I have realised that driving in malaysia is very dangerous. I wonder in a world ranking where malaysia stands.

Hey Eric!
Always safe on the road man. Whether fast or slow, it pays to be safe.
On the track is probably the best place to drive fast and learn about car control. With plenty of run-off space, it’s a whole lot safer than driving recklessly on the public roads too.
Hi Vernon,
yes thats good. Our roads are not safe at all. Too many blind drivers who don’t use their rear view mirrors.
Question for you. You think the R3 any model will be exported to UK? if no, why not? I am sure the folks there would like to get their hands on a cheap track car. What do you think?
cheers.
regards
ERIC V
I am unsure about R3 going to the UK, but Proton Australia is keen to bring the brand to Australia. As you know, the SGTi has quite a following Down Under.
There has been reports of a Gen.2 R3 in OZ, and also R3 performance parts for other cars to be made available, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
I think the Satria Neo would be the best bet for an official R3 model. With its good looks and a above-average CamPro, I think it should do pretty well.
We’ll have to say won’t we?
